Politics

Politics in Scotland is an SQA subject that helps pupils understand how power, government and decision-making work at local, Scottish, UK and international levels. Students explore topics such as democracy, elections, political institutions, rights and responsibilities, and current political issues, while developing skills in critical thinking, discussion and analysis. The course encourages young people to become informed, engaged citizens who can understand and debate the political choices that shape their lives.
