[OFFICIAL] Prelims January 2025

Please find attached the Prelim timetable for 2025. Recent years have seen a few variations of study leave and so for clarity study leave for those sitting 2 or more exams, at any level will be from 13th –29th January inclusive. This is a change from the previously calendared start date. National 4 Maths and National 4 English will have exams scheduled but for those with fewer than 2 exams there will be an ‘Inspiring Young Minds’ provision of events, further information will come out shortly and only to those involved .

Pay careful attention to the start time of Prelims especially those in the afternoon as they do not always fit our normal school timings.

Any learner with Assessment Arrangements will be contacted separately by Wednesday the 18th December with details of those arrangements. If you have not been contacted by that time no assessment arrangements have been in place for the prelims.

A small number of learners have exams that run at the same time, this is usual, and those young people will be contacted individually with what arrangements are being put in place. If you are in this situation but have not been contacted by Wednesday the 18th December please let me know.

During study leave S4, S5 and S6 are welcome to come into school and study but there is no expectation of this and no classes running. Learners must sign in at the office and will be directed to a study room.

Learners return to school Thursday 30th January 2025

An assembly for S4, S5 and S6 in the New Year will provide greater detail on arrangements.
